Welcome to Yoga-Massage of Leigh-On-Sea, where movement, mindfulness, and healing come together. With a deep passion for holistic well-being, I bring expertise in both Ashtanga yoga and sports massage therapy, offering a balanced approach to physical health, recovery, and inner peace.
My Journey
My journey began long ago, rooted in fond memories of childhood. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my family, and one of the most cherished memories I have is of my father asking me to give him a massage. As a child—probably around eight years old—I had no idea what massage was, but he encouraged me to walk on his back while he lay face down to help relieve his tension.
That was my first experience with massage—simply following my father’s gentle request and mimicking what I saw as a way to connect with him. I would later offer massages to my mother and grandparents. It wasn’t just a routine—it was an instinctive, caring way to help my loved ones feel better. Whether it was easing cramps or relieving tension, massage became a way for me to connect and offer support to those closest to me. Looking back, I now realize that these moments were more than just playful; a powerful yet holistic tradition was being passed down to me through generations in my Thai heritage, where touch is used for care and healing without a primary focus on medication.
This early experience instilled in me the foundation of massage therapy: using hands, feet, elbows, and knees to create balance, comfort, and relaxation. After a lifetime of practice, followed by later professional certification in the UK, I now carry this tradition forward, offering professional massage therapy services designed to nurture both body and mind, providing both the sense of care and comfort that were integral to my early experiences.
As I grew older, I also developed a passion for yoga. I began practicing Ashtanga Yoga, which became an essential part of my life. Over the years, my teachers and community encouraged me to pursue a deeper understanding of yoga. It was during this time that I decided to immerse myself fully in Ashtanga Yoga, eventually completing an intensive training course in 2024. My personal practice is remains a part of my daily routine. The practice may vary depending on my schedule, but yoga continues to serve as an anchor in my life, helping me to remain grounded and focused.
After years of practicing yoga, I decided to pursue a professional course in sports massage therapy. This decision opened up a whole new world of knowledge, combining the natural skills I had developed as a child with a deeper understanding of anatomy and body mechanics as an adult. The training I received in the UK was thorough and well-rounded, covering everything from muscle function to safety regulations. It was a stark contrast to the intuitive approach I had learned back home, but it allowed me to refine my technique and broaden my ability to help others. While I had always known how to help my family members, I now had the knowledge to help athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals recovering from injury. By integrating deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release in a safe, effective, and professional way, I now help clients relieve muscular tension, improve mobility, and accelerate recovery.
Today, I combine my formal sports therapy training with the natural instincts I developed growing up. I don’t follow a standard routine for every client; instead, each massage is tailored to meet their unique needs. Drawing from years of personal experience and professional training, I ensure every session is personalized, effective, and delivered with care.
In addition to massage therapy, I teach the basics of Ashtanga Yoga, focusing on the primary series. While my practice has always been important to me, it was after my immersion in Ashtanga Yoga training that I began teaching a few hours each week. Teaching yoga has become another way for me to share the benefits of this practice, which has had such a transformative effect on my own life.
